Injection for Wrinkles
Repeated muscular contractions such as frowning and squinting form
lines known as dynamic wrinkles. These are the lines which disappear when we
use Anti-wrinkle Injections. Static lines are the lines which remain on our
face when we are expressionless, these may be reduced with Anti-wrinkle
Injections or with the addition of Dermal fillers & fraxel laser treatment.
What exactly are these injections ? The amazing treatment is made
of a natural, purified protein, which in very low doses relaxes the overactive
muscles that cause dynamic lines (Lines on your face due to muscle movement)
to form. Treatment is simple and nonsurgical and smoothes the deep, persistent
lines between your brows, forehead area & crows feet area that developed over
time. It is the fastest growing cosmetic procedure and widely rated as a best
cosmetic procedure in terms of customer and physician satisfaction.
Is it safe? These injections have been safely used to treat a
variety of conditions for more than 12 years, is now FDA-approved for the
temporary treatment of frown lines in people aged 18 to 65.
Where do the injections go? It generally remains only in the
treated muscle and gradually disappears without breaking down or travelling
throughout the body.
How long does the effect last? Results last between 3 to 5
months, after which your muscles will gradually start moving again. Patients
can then safely have a further treatment in the same or desired areas.
Will it radically change my appearance? No. Expect a dramatic
improvement in the appearance of your frown lines, forehead lines & crows feet
lines. Overall, you'll look more relaxed and refreshed but not like "you've
had work done." The key is not to over do these injections.
Will it make me lose expression? Yes. But the only expression
you'll lose is the unintentional frown caused by the overactive muscles
between your brows. So you can frown, smile, or look surprised-without the
creases and wrinkles between your brows. If all forhead lines and crows feet
lines are blocked there will be a more noticeable loss of expression. This is
not desirable.
Who should not e treated? If you are pregnant, breast feeding,
the treatment should be avoided. You however can resume having the injectons
after you have given birth of finished breast feeding. If you have known
neuromuscular disorders, the treatment should also be avoided. At our clinic,
our physicians will assess you for suitability for the procedure before the
injections.
