Dermal filler injections: Dermal fillers, can be
used for smoothing out folds and wrinkles, lip enhancements and shaping facial
contours. The most common areas are the glabellar between the eyebrows, the
nasolabial folds, and the lips. Very superficial or very deep wrinkles may be
difficult to correct. Dermal fillers are injected in very small amounts, using
a very small needle. A session for this will often take less than 30 minutes,
and the results are immediate. The treatment lasts about 4 to 5 months after
the first injection and usually a top up is needed every 6 to 12 months,
depending on the individual, and the areas treated.
