Non-ablative Lasers & Light Based treatments This is one of the most exciting part of our clinic teatments. It is the use of light or laser source to break down pigment particles, seal off little broken capillaries, shrink pore size, stimulate new collagen formation in the skin, treat acne & psoriasis, coagulate hair bulbs to give permanent hair reduction and treatment of leg veins. We use the state of the art laser, IPL technology in our clinic to give our patients the best possible results.
Ablative Laser Surgery Ablative lasers such as carbon dioxide or erbium YAG laser is focused onto the lesion, removing epidermis and different amounts of deeper skin. This finely controlled treatment is a good option for lesions in small or narrow areas; it can be particularly effective for keratoses on the face and scalp, as well as actinic cheilitis on the lips. However, general anesthesia may be necessary, and some pigment loss can occur. For that reason,we do not offer this treatment in our surgery.
Fractional Laser Resurfacing This has now replaced the old CO2 laser resurfacing procedure whereby only a fraction of the epidermis is ablated (using our Mixto fractional laser) and your normal surrounding skin heals the skin very quickly. It is the newest technology available now for skin tightening, treatment of acne scars and ironing out lines and wrinkles and now considered the gold standard for treating these conditions.
Laser Tattoo Removal The Q-Switched Nd-YAG RevLite laser represents the most advanced laser for removal of black and multi-colored tattoos from the company that pioneered the technology. Unlike early methods that carried a high risk of scarring, were painful and not very effective, Q-Switched lasers greatly improved the process, allowing physicians to eliminate most tattoos with a high degree of success and very low risk of scarring. The Q-Switched Nd-YAG lasers that use PhotoAcoustic energy are gold standard lasers for tattoo removal.
